The global data ecosystem has undergone rapid transformation - expanding digital tools, advancing interoperability, and unlocking new analytical possibilities. Yet many countries face growing constraints: delayed censuses, disrupted surveys, financing shortfalls, and increasing demand for timely insights. At a moment when demographic change is reshaping economies and societies, the gap between data production and policy application is widening. This side event will showcase how UNFPA is translating population data into actionable intelligence through the Population Data Portal Plus (PDP+).
